Micro Silica is a compound of the elements silicon and oxygen. It is not chemically combined with other elements. When the basic structure of the molecule is a pattern that is repeated and symmetrical, the silica is considered to be "crystalline." Silica is considered to be amorphous if the molecule lacks crystalline structure.
